Coaches are an integral part of the soccer landscape. While some coaches start as athletes, most are parents, teachers, sport fans, and community members who want to be a part of a sport they love and make a difference. Coaching offers enormous benefits for coaches and participants alike.

Coaches can: 

Build exceptional planning skills
Create engaging activities for participants
Help others get active while remaining active themselves
Teach important physical skills
Promote safety in sport
Promote diversity and inclusion
Model respectful behaviour and problem-solving
Model community-building behaviour
Help others improve their performance and build their confidence
Learn effective ways to persuade, offer constructive criticism, and provide advice

Coaches are required to have the following:

1. Coaching Clinic of the ages they would like to coach

There is an online portion that needs to be completed prior to the in person clinic. The online portion is completed through the Canada Soccer Website found here.  

**Please note thta the in-person training portions of these clinic dates yet to be determined.

Active Start (U5-U7)
The focus is on teaching basic skills and basic physical literacy. 


FUNdamentals (U7-U9 Female/U6-U9 Male)
Learn how to develop the ABCs of movement: Agility, Balance, Coordination and speed, while running a practice session that is fun, safe and keeps children actively engaged. 

Soccer For Life (12 yrs + Female/13 yrs + Male)
The emphasis of this course is on technical and tactical development within the 11-a-side game environment. You’ll learn how to plan and deliver effective, enjoyable, age-appropriate practices and how to provide feedback to your players.
